photo by Tiange Zhou Marco Bidin is a composer, organist and harpsichord player from Italy.

After graduating in Organ and Organ Composition at the Udine Conservatory, he continued his studies in Organ and Early Music performance in Trossingen and in Contemporary Music performance in Stuttgart. Subsequently, he obtained the terminal degree in Music Composition and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Computer Music under the guidance of Marco Stroppa.

He has given lectures, workshops and performed as a soloist in Europe and Asia. His instrumental and electroacoustic compositions have been performed in Germany, France, Portugal, Italy, Canada, South Korea and China. Among the interpreters of his music there are internationally renowned artists such as Alessandro Carbonare, Teodoro Anzellotti, Nozomi Hiwatashi, Diego Castro Magas, Jörg-Hannes Hahn and others.

Marco Bidin was lecturer of Composition at the Electronic Music Studio at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. In Germany, he also worked as a church organist for many years,
first for the Italian Mission of Villingen-Schwenningen, and later for the Protestant Church of Stuttgart.

Since 2010 he has been the artistic director of ALEA, the not-for-profit NGO organisation Artistic Expression Laboratory Association. He is also the initiator and artistic director of the international online concert series "Hypersounds", dedicated to electronic music, mixed music and experimental improvisation.
